Reliability Maintenance Engineering Specialist

Amazon UK Services Ltd. is seeking a highly skilled Senior Maintenance Technician to join our Reliability Maintenance Engineering team. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for ensuring the safety and efficiency of our warehouse and delivery network.
Key Responsibilities- Model and enforce health and safety best practices, monitoring colleagues to ensure adherence to these standards.
- Work hands-on, demonstrating expertise on all Material Handling Equipment (MHE) in the facility.
- Coach and mentor technicians on shift, providing guidance and support.
- Supervise the shift in the absence of the line manager, ensuring seamless operations.
- Provide high levels of equipment availability to internal customers through troubleshooting and prioritization.
- Support continuous improvement of systems across the EU network, adhering to standard procedures.
- Develop and maintain strong working relationships across all levels of the organization.
- Understand and apply Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE) and equipment performance metrics.
- Manage contractors, ensuring effective collaboration and outcomes.
- Multi-skilled in electrical and mechanical disciplines, with relevant experience in automation or complex MHE environments.
- Solid foundational knowledge of PLC-based control systems.
- Experience using Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS) for proactive maintenance planning and reactive task recording.
- Knowledge of statutory compliance requirements.
- Proven ability to supervise and influence team members.
- Proven ability to multitask and prioritize multiple projects and workload.
- Experience in managing multiple contractors.
