About the Role

As a Reliability Maintenance Engineer at Amazon, you will play a critical role in ensuring the smooth operation of our facilities. Your primary responsibility will be to maintain and repair equipment, machinery, and systems to prevent downtime and ensure optimal performance.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform proactive and preventative maintenance tasks on a wide range of equipment and machinery
  • Carry out reactive repairs and fault diagnosis in a live distribution warehouse environment

  • Support the development and progression of on-site apprentices and junior engineers

A Day in the Life

As a Reliability Maintenance Engineer, you will work closely with senior colleagues and other teams to ensure seamless operations. Your day will be filled with a variety of tasks, including:

  • Performing routine maintenance and repairs on equipment and machinery
  • Investigating and resolving equipment failures and faults
  • Collaborating with contractors and external experts to address complex issues
  • Participating in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance processes and efficiency
About the Team

The Reliability Maintenance Engineering team at Amazon is a dynamic and technically-minded group of professionals. We work together to maintain, troubleshoot, and repair equipment across our global network of fulfillment centers. Our team is guided by experienced leaders and is committed to excellence in all aspects of our work.

Requirements
  • Served a full Engineering indentured apprenticeship and/or qualified to a minimum of NVQ level 3 or equivalent in a relevant Engineering subject
  • Relevant experience as a qualified engineer, preferably in mechanical and/or electrical maintenance
  • Advanced proficiency in the local language verbally and in writing
Preferred Qualifications
  • Apprentice Trained, HNC, HND, BSc, BEng
  • Experience in condition-based monitoring
  • Experience working with print and apply machines
  • Experience in fault-finding and maintaining conveyor or automation systems
