Clinical Lead and Service Manager for Public Health Nursing

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Clinical Lead and Service Manager for Public Health Nursing to join our team at Aneurin Bevan University Health Board. The successful candidate will be responsible for leading and managing the Public Health Nursing service, delivering the Health Visiting Improvement Programme, and providing sustainability within the service.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Manage and provide leadership for the Public Health Nursing service
  • Deliver the Health Visiting Improvement Programme
  • Support and collaborate with teams to implement the best model and structure to achieve the programme's goals
  • Provide managerial and professional leadership for nursing within the Directorate
  • Provide Directorate service delivery and professional advice to the Divisional Director and Directorate Manager on clinical nursing issues
Requirements:
  • Currently registered as a Nurse and Health Visitor with the NMC
  • Hold appropriate management qualification or professional qualification
  • Evidence of CPD
  • Knowledge and understanding of wider political and social drivers that influence service delivery of health services to children and young people
  • Experience of managing difficult situations and resolving conflicts or concerns
  • Experience of management of concerns and implementing change as a result of learning
  • Able to demonstrate a high level of interpersonal skills, displaying credibility, influence and political acumen
  • Highly developed problem-solving skills
