Senior Software Development Lead

About the Role:

In this senior position, you will lead software development from concept to coding, collaborating with multidisciplinary engineers to ensure project success.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee software requirements, focusing on fault management and application health.
  • Produce and maintain documentation, and assist customers with integration and problem resolution, sometimes on-site.
  • Understand customer needs to inform project requirements, working closely with the Project Manager and Quality team to identify risks, issues, and opportunities.
  • Ensure key developments are communicated to the engineering team and provide technical input to support project planning and reviews.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience in leading technical software projects.
  • Deep understanding of software engineering principles.
  • Skilled in embedded software design with a solid grasp of related hardware.
  • Proficient in writing C/C++ for embedded applications.
  • Expertise in designing and developing control systems, with a preference for motor control principles, theory, and interfaces.

Security Clearance: For Security Clearance reasons to work this role you must have British citizenship or be a dual national with British citizenship.
