Job Title: SEN Teaching Assistant

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate SEN Teaching Assistant to join our vibrant and inclusive community at our exceptional primary school in Barnet.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide one-on-one and small group support to SEN students to help them develop social, emotional, and academic skills.
  • Assist in the development and implementation of Individual Education Plans (IEPs) to ensure students receive tailored support.
  • Collaborate with teachers and other staff to create an inclusive classroom environment that promotes learning and growth.
  • Support students in developing social, emotional, and academic skills, and monitor and record their progress.
  • Assist with classroom management and behavior support to ensure a positive and productive learning environment.

Requirements
  • Experience working with children with SEN is highly desirable, but not essential.
  • A patient, caring, and empathetic approach to supporting students with special needs.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills to work effectively with teachers and other staff.
  • A commitment to fostering an inclusive learning environment that values diversity and promotes equality.
  • Relevant qualifications or training in special education is a plus, but not essential.
