About the Job

We are excited to offer this bespoke opportunity to support passionate individuals in getting into the education sector. Our National Teaching Assistant Program (NTAP) provides successful Trainee Teaching Assistants with high-quality training and paid on-the-job experience.

As a Trainee Teaching Assistant, you will work in a school setting, supporting teachers with lesson delivery, running small group interventions, and working one-on-one with students who require additional support. This role offers an excellent opportunity for those looking to start a career in education or enhance their existing skills.

Job Description

The role of a Teaching Assistant varies from school to school. You may be working to support the teacher while class teaching, running small group interventions to support children, or working on a 1:1 basis to ensure the needs of all children are met and that they can thrive.

Requirements
  1. Be proactive and possess excellent communication skills
  2. Have experience working with children (desired but not essential)
  3. Be dedicated to improving outcomes for all children
  4. Be committed to completing the required training and participating in ongoing CPD
  5. Be able to work collaboratively in a team
  6. Be willing to pay for an enhanced DBS check and register with the Update Service

Salary and Benefits

The salary for this role is £86-£13 per hour, paid weekly via our in-house Payroll team using the Pay As You Earn (PAYE) system. Additionally, we offer pension contributions (subject to a qualifying period), free training to support your professional development, and a generous refer-a-friend or colleague bonus scheme.
