Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Pharmacy Dispenser to join our team at Boots Opticians. As a Pharmacy Dispenser, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional patient-centred care and ensuring the safe supply of medicines.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide health advice and guidance to patients, tailoring conversations to meet their individual needs.
  • Deliver the technical aspects of the dispensary, including ordering medicines, labelling, dispensing, endorsing, and collecting prescriptions.
  • Comply with legal and professional requirements, as well as accepted guidance on professional practice in Boots.
  • Seek opportunities to engage with GPs and practice teams to promote services and items.
  • Contribute to efficient dispensary operations and minimize dispensing losses.
Requirements:

To be successful in this role, you will need to have either an NVQ Level 2 equivalent in Pharmacy Services or be working towards and have completed the first year of an MPharm course at university. You will also need to have completed a Medicines Counter Assistant (NVQ2) qualification or equivalent. If you do not have this qualification, we will support your development to complete our training within 6 months of joining us.
