About the Role
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Occupational Therapist Specialist to join our team at Central and North West London NHS Foundation Trust. As an Occupational Therapist Specialist, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality care to our patients, working closely with the multidisciplinary team to deliver person-centered rehabilitation and individualized goals.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive assessments and interventions for patients, using clinical reasoning skills and manual assessment techniques.
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans, working collaboratively with patients, families, and carers.
- Communicate effectively with patients, relatives, carers, and other healthcare professionals to progress rehabilitation and treatment programs.
- Manage clinical risk within the therapy caseload, ensuring the safe and competent use of equipment.
- Work collaboratively with the multidisciplinary team to achieve discharge planning and patient outcomes.
Requirements
- HCPC registration and a degree-level qualification in Occupational Therapy.
- Experience post-registration in community, acute, stroke, or rehabilitation settings.
- Previous clinical experience in an NHS setting and evidence of recent continuing professional development.
- Ability to drive and have access to a car for use at work.
