As a key member of our Litigation Team, you will be responsible for handling a wide range of cases, including contentious probate matters.

Responsibilities:

* Assist with client work as allocated by the Solicitor in charge of the Litigation Team
* Ensure all client work is progressed expeditiously and that the client is kept regularly informed on progress and on costs
* Exercise high standards of client care at all times in a professional and pleasant manner
* Ensure the confidentiality and security of all the firm's and client documentation and information
* Achieve agreed levels of billing and time recording
* Comply with Solicitors Accounts Rules and the rules on Professional Conduct of Solicitors
* Maintain clear and precise communications with other personnel of the firm
* Ensure good working relationships with external institutions and organisations
* As requested, support, develop and supervise immediate support staff
* Take responsibility for and attend to training and self-development
* In conjunction with the firm, comply with the relevant training requirements of the Law Society and assist with in-house training as may be required
* In liaison with the Partners, be active in promoting the services of the firm and its image
* Undertake any reasonable task as requested

Person Specification:

* Admitted to the Solicitors' Roll
* Experience in Contentious Probate Work and/or Litigation is a must have
* Ideally 2+ years Post-Qualified Experience (PQE)
* Commitment to the ethos, values and strategy of the firm
* Excellent interpersonal skills
* Computer and Word processing skills essential
* Organized and self-motivated with the ability to work within a team environment
