Role Description

Salary: £152,800 - £192,640 per annum (dependent on experience)

We are looking for a skilled Functional Skills Educator to join our team at Exclusive Education. This role involves working with students who require additional support due to their Special Educational Needs.

  • Teach maths and English skills to students with various learning requirements
  • Deliver OCR Life and Living Skills course - focus on independent living and work skills
  • Support students in developing essential life skills
  • Foster a positive learning environment
  • Develop and implement creative curriculum sessions

The ideal candidate will have experience working with SEN students at pre-entry/Entry 1 level, hold a vocational qualification in OCR Life and Living Skills, and possess knowledge of ASD and its management.

  • Relevant teaching qualification with QTS (e.g., PGCE, BA Hons)
  • Eligibility to work in the UK or be a UK resident
  • Previous experience working with children and supporting pupils with Special Educational Needs
  • Good knowledge of the full curriculum
  • Previous KS3 and KS4 teaching experience
  • Two references covering the last two years
  • Current DBS registration or willingness to apply for a new one
