Job Overview

As a Driver/Branch Assistant with Vp plc, you will play a crucial role in delivering and collecting equipment from customers in a 7.5T vehicle. This position requires a strong focus on customer service, as you will be expected to demonstrate the use of equipment and provide exceptional support to our clients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Delivery and Collection: Complete all deliveries and collections as allocated to you by your line manager, ensuring timely and efficient service to our customers.
  • Equipment Demonstration: Perform demonstrations of equipment to customers, ensuring sound presentation and showcasing the features and benefits of our products.
  • Vehicle Maintenance: Conduct daily vehicle checks, including oil and water levels, lights, and tyres, to ensure the vehicle is in good working condition.
  • Business Development: Be aware of and alert to any new business opportunities, and work with the team to develop and implement strategies to capitalize on these opportunities.
  • Administrative Tasks: Ensure all customer and business documents are completed in full, and maintain accurate records of deliveries and collections.
  • Health and Safety: Champion health and safety within the team, maintaining MEP Hire's impeccable track record and ensuring a safe working environment for all employees.
Requirements
  • Driving Experience: Experience of driving a 7.5T vehicle and a good knowledge of the area.
  • Customer Service: Enjoy meeting people and providing exceptional customer service, with a strong focus on building relationships and delivering results.
  • Technical Knowledge: Have a basic knowledge of how equipment works, or be keen to learn and widen your own expertise.
  • Communication Skills: Ability to demonstrate the use of all equipment, and communicate effectively with customers and colleagues.
  • Health and Safety: Basic knowledge and understanding of health and safety in the workplace, with a commitment to maintaining a safe working environment.
  • Driving Licence: 7.5T UK driving licence essential.
