About the Role- As an Enterprise Architecture Director, you will be responsible for developing and maintaining an enterprise architecture practice that supports the Technology directorate and the wider Bank in achieving its strategic objectives.
- Line Management of Architects: You will be responsible for the line management of a team of Architects, including leading team members through personal development and training, and supporting recruitment as needed.
- Strategies and Roadmaps: You will take a lead role in the development of Technology strategies and roadmaps, driving a forward-looking perspective in conjunction with your domains' partners and the architecture leadership.
- Shaping the Architecture: You will ensure that your domain's architecture (Blueprints, Technical Options) is developed and delivered in alignment with Technology Strategy, contributing to strategy implementation through portfolio initiatives.
- Stakeholder Management: You will design and maintain a stakeholder map that covers the domains for which you are responsible, ensuring engagement and understanding for all architectural outputs.
- Technology Leadership: You will represent architecture and Technology at governance forums and be an advocate for the solutions, strategies, and roadmaps produced by the team.
- You should have experience in IT architecture, including application of architecture principles to IT solution design.
- You should have experience in IT leadership and management, development of highly skilled and engaged teams.
- You should have a strong understanding of markets and banking systems (SWIFT standards, trading systems, front-to-back-office functions, payments).
- You should have excellent communication skills, including articulating solutions for senior stakeholders and communicating designs to governance forums.
- You should have experience working within an architectural framework (e.g., TOGAF, Zachman).
- You should have experience of working in a Large Enterprise or FTSE 100 organization.
The salary for this role ranges from £70,510 to £81,360 in Leeds and from £78,310 to £90,360 in London, plus an additional 8% benefits allowance with the option to take as salary or purchase a wide range of flexible benefits. The Bank also offers a comprehensive benefits package, including a non-contributory, career-average pension and discretionary performance awards.
