Job Description

The role of Production Engineer at Omega Resource Group is an exciting opportunity for a highly motivated individual to join our team. As a key member of our manufacturing department, you will be responsible for developing and maintaining continuous improvement processes to drive towards a safer and more efficient workflow.

You will work closely with the Quality Assurance and Engineering teams to improve the outcome of manufacturing. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Reviewing, improving and streamlining design and manufacturing processes to enhance safety, efficiency and quality.
  • Providing feedback to the Design Engineering team to continually improve existing or new products assembly processes, focusing on safety, risk mitigation, poke yoke and product quality.
  • Improving, developing or introducing core business processes as required, including training production team members in various fields such as basic hydraulic awareness, tooling use or management, and assembly build standards.
  • Implementing lean principles and integrating continuous improvement into the Production Engineer role.

This position requires a degree-educated individual or proven experience in an engineering function, preferably mechanical. You should have a good understanding of engineering management systems, including Quality, Environmental and Occupational Health and Safety. Experience with DFMEA, PFMEA and DFM principles is also essential.
