Assistant Bodyshop Manager Job Description

As an Assistant Bodyshop Manager at Auto Body Language Limited T/A ABL 1Touch, you will be the sole point of contact for customers during the repair of their car, ensuring a positive and professional experience.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Discuss with customers what repairs are intended to be carried out, set their expectations correctly, and advise on the estimated completion date (ECD).
  • Work with the Bodyshop Manager to ensure customers' expectations are met and their preferred communication method is adhered to.
  • Ensure customers' expectations are communicated effectively with the production team and the preferred communication method is logged and adhered to.
  • Assist with the day-to-day running of the transport function at the site, ensuring drivers conduct their duties effectively and provide an excellent customer service experience.
  • Proactively communicate with customers throughout the repair process and ensure any dissatisfaction is identified and resolved.
Requirements:
  • Previous experience in a team lead, supervisory, or customer service-focused role, ideally within the automotive industry.
  • A proactive and customer-focused individual eager to get things right first time and ensure a positive customer experience.
  • Strong communication (verbal and written), interpersonal, and team-working skills.
  • Flexible and adaptable to changing demands.
  • Strong organisational skills with an eye for process.
  • Good IT skills and the ability to learn new systems and databases quickly.
