Job Title: Health and Social Care Lecturer

Scholars School System, a national independent higher education provider, is seeking a Health and Social Care Lecturer to join our team at the Leicester campus.

We are looking for an experienced educator with a passion for delivering high-quality education in Health and Social Care. As a Lecturer, you will be responsible for teaching and assessing students, developing course materials, and supporting colleagues to deliver organisational and statutory requirements.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Plan, deliver, and assess student work to ensure all learning outcomes are met.
  • Develop, update, and improve course materials as appropriate.
  • Teach and learn, including marking, assessment, and feedback.
  • Support colleagues to deliver organisational and statutory requirements.
  • Work internally and externally to support partner organisations and activities.
  • Module leadership and associated activities.
Requirements:
  • Masters' degree in Health & Social Care or related field.
  • UK Teaching Experience (Minimum one-year experience).
  • PGCert / Fellowship in FHCA Status (Highly Desirable).
  • Enthusiasm for delivering a high-quality education experience.
  • A record of leading a successful programme development thought leadership in educational pedagogy.
  • Experience supervising student work and providing support and feedback.
  • Experience of marking, assessment, and feedback.
  • Experience of working with professional services to enhance student learning.
  • Previous experience of course leadership, module leadership desirable.
  • Experience of using different technologies to deliver teaching and learning.
  • Organisational and leadership skills and knowledge.

  • Competitive salary per year (depending on qualifications and experience).
  • Basic hours are 9am to 6pm on site.
  • Trips away from the office are often required.
  • Holiday entitlement is 28 days annual leave plus bank holidays.
  • Up to £5k annual incentives pro-rata given quarterly on meeting KPIs upon successful probation period.
  • 3% annual increase per year on completion from your start date of service and on meeting KPIs.
