Job Overview

We are seeking a skilled and experienced engineer to join our team at Bluetownonline Ltd. The successful candidate will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing domestic heating systems within a 50-mile radius of our Stevenage office.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in plumbing and domestic heating systems, with a NVQ Level 2 Diploma in Plumbing and Domestic Heating Systems. They will also possess excellent communication skills, be able to work independently, and have a flexible approach to meet the needs of our customers.

About the Role

This is a full-time position that involves working 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday. The salary for this role is £45,000 - £55,000 per annum, depending on experience.

Main Responsibilities
  • Installations, inspections, diagnosing problems/faults/leaks, testing, repair, and maintenance of all types of domestic heating systems.
  • Carry out planned tasks in accordance with contract/agreed requirements on services and associated systems.
  • Adhere to all organisation policies and procedures.

Requirements
  • NVQ Level 2 Diploma in Plumbing and Domestic Heating Systems.
  • Full, clean UK driving licence.
  • Have skills in the installation, repair, and maintenance of all types of residential heating systems.
  • Ability to deliver a great quality job on time.
  • This post is subject to a basic level Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check.
  • Manual Handling trained.
  • Other H&S training.
  • Flexible approach.
  • Able to build rapport and develop professional relationships with staff, customers, suppliers and sub-contractors.
  • Actively participate in developing working practices that eliminate waste and reduce costs incurred by the Company.

Benefits

All full-time Employees (excluding Directors) - based in the UK have a standard entitlement of 20 days paid holiday per year (April 1st - March 31st). The 8 UK Bank and Public holidays are in addition to the standard holiday entitlement. There is a pension scheme following a qualifying period.
