Lifeguard

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Casual Lifeguard to join our team at the Sports Centre. As a Casual Lifeguard, you will be responsible for ensuring the safety and comfort of customers at all times, particularly in the swimming pool environment.

• Assist the Sports Centre Manager and Duty Managers in daily operations, ensuring safety and compliance with legislation and procedures.
• Carry out lifeguard duties, supervising and controlling bathers, and responding to emergencies.
• Provide a safe environment for School pupils under 'Duty of Care' procedures.
• Offer proactive and supportive service to Sports Centre customers, being vigilant of their needs and focused on service.
• Maintain a high standard of hygiene and cleanliness throughout the Sports Centre.
• Ensure correct behavior and use of the pool by all users, adhering to rules and safety regulations.
• Assist in facility and activity changeovers, handling equipment safely and efficiently.
• Ensure sports areas, teaching spaces, and communal areas are prepared, safe, and effective for the program.
• Maintain National Pool Lifeguard Qualification through regular onsite training and mandatory meetings.
• Cover reception duties as required.

• Current and valid National Pool Lifeguard Qualification.
• Strong swimming ability.

• Pool Plant Operators Licence.
• First Aid at Work certificate.
• Lifeguard trainer/assessor qualification.
• Swimming teacher qualification.
• Experience working in a leisure environment.
• Experience in customer service.
