Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled FPGA Engineer to join our team at Leonardo. As a Senior FPGA Design Engineer, you will be responsible for designing and implementing field-programmable gate array (FPGA) solutions for our cutting-edge technology products.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement FPGA solutions that meet our clients' needs
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to establish system requirements
- Design and write RTL code for FPGA implementations
- Perform functional simulation and verification to ensure design accuracy
- Conduct timing analysis and optimize FPGA designs for improved performance
- Integrate FPGA designs with other system components
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to FPGA designs
- Provide guidance and support to junior FPGA engineers
Requirements:
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field
- Proficiency in FPGA hardware description languages like VHDL or Verilog
- Strong understanding of digital design concepts
- Hands-on experience with FPGA development tools such as Xilinx or Altera Quartus
- Knowledge of FPGA architectures and implementation approaches
- Familiarity with simulation and verification tools like ModelSim or Xilinx ISim
- Sound knowledge of timing analysis and optimization methods
