Year 6 Teacher Opportunity

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Year 6 Teacher to join our progressive school in Caversham, Reading. This is an excellent opportunity for an enthusiastic educator to make a positive impact on the lives of students and contribute to their educational journey.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide pastoral care to children in Key Stage 2, promoting teamwork and a conducive learning environment.
  • Teach the Key Stage 2 curriculum to groups of children, focusing on individual learning targets and encouraging strengths and improvement.
  • Monitor children's progress and report back to parents as necessary.

Requirements:

  • Qualified teacher status (QTS), PGCE or equivalent.
  • Experience in teaching Year 6 students and preparing them for SATs exams.
  • A proven track record of delivering high-quality lessons and achieving excellent academic results.
  • A strong understanding of the national curriculum and assessment methodologies.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
  • Patience, resilience, and a passion for teaching.
  • A willingness to work collaboratively with colleagues.
