Job Title: Teaching Assistant

Job Type: Full-time

Job Description:

We are seeking a motivated and dedicated Learning Support Assistant to work on a full-time basis to join our team at a Primary School. The role will involve supporting the learning and development of our children across Key Stage 2.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Working one-to-one with children who require additional support
  • Providing pastoral support to children who may need extra help
  • Contributing to the creation of a safe and nurturing learning environment
  • Helping to assess pupils' progress and keeping accurate records
  • Supporting pupils with special educational needs
  • Flexible to work across different year groups
  • Role will include a lunchtime duty

Essential Requirements:

  • Level 2 Teaching Assistant qualification or equivalent
  • Experience working as a Teaching Assistant in a primary school setting
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Ability to build positive relationships with pupils, staff, and parents
  • Enhanced DBS on the Update Service and a right to work in the UK

Desirable Requirements:

  • Knowledge of phonics and early years learning
  • Experience working with children with SEND
  • Experience using ICT to support learning
