Financial Controller Job Description

Westcountry HR is seeking an experienced Financial Controller to join our Finance Team.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Develop and Implement Financial Strategy: Produce and implement an annual financial strategy and budget to ensure growth and financial stability.
  2. Financial Reporting and Compliance: Ensure timely and accurate production of statutory financial accounts, P&L, Balance Sheet, and supporting analysis, while maintaining statutory tax compliance.
  3. Leadership and Team Management: Lead, coach, and develop the existing finance team, and take responsibility for the day-to-day running of the finance team.
  4. Financial Planning and Analysis: Prepare and effectively manage cash, bank balances, and working capital, and work with the Bank to manage lending, funding, and relationships.

Requirements:

We are looking for a fully qualified accountant (ACA/ACCA/CIMA) with previous experience of operating at Management level within a Finance Team. The successful candidate will have excellent financial management and leadership skills, with the ability to develop and implement financial strategies and manage a team of finance professionals.
