Job Title: SEMH Teaching Assistant

Location: Nationwide
Contract Type: Full-Time, Long-Term

Job Description: We are partnering with a specialist school to find a skilled SEMH Teaching Assistant to provide tailored support to students with Social, Emotional, and Mental Health (SEMH) needs. The ideal candidate will be a caring and patient individual with strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively as part of a team.

- Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist the classroom teacher in creating a nurturing and structured environment that promotes positive behaviour and academic progress.
  • Provide individualised support to students with SEMH needs to help them engage with their learning and manage their emotions.
  • Support students in small groups or one-to-one basis focusing on individual learning needs.
  • Help implement behaviour management strategies and social development plans.
  • Build strong relationships with students, parents, and staff to support student well-being and growth.

  • Previous experience working with children or young adults with SEMH needs is preferred but not essential.
