Nursery Assistant Job Opportunity

We are currently working with a school in the Penzance area who require a Nursery Assistant to begin as soon as possible.

The ideal candidate will have a Level 2/3 in Childcare, a degree in Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) or future NQT. You will be required to work Monday – Friday during term time.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide social, emotional, educational, and practical interaction, nurturing and guidance to the children.
  • Ensure the nursery environment is kept tidy and is a safe place for the children.
  • Supervise activities such as messy play, crafts, cooking, reading and outdoor/physical pursuits.
  • Take part in trips and keep a record of the individual students' achievements, meals, nappies changes (if applicable) throughout the day.
  • Communicate with parents/carers when they are collecting their children.

Requirements:

  • A driver's licence and access to a vehicle.
  • Apply for a Child Workforce DBS (if you do not already have one).
  • Awareness of Child Protection, Health and Safety, Behaviour, Teaching and Learning and Equal Opportunities policies.
