Job Title: Glasshouse Grower - Horticultural Specialist

Job Summary: We are seeking a skilled Glasshouse Grower to join our team at WR Engineering. As a key member of our horticultural team, you will be responsible for managing daily irrigation and fertigation strategies, as well as maintaining the growing environment to ensure high-quality crops.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage daily irrigation and fertigation strategies to optimize crop growth
• Maintain the growing environment, including temperature, humidity, and CO2 control
• Conduct regular crop walking and record any pest and disease issues
• Monitor and control biological control processes
• Assist in creating spray plans and schedules
• Perform general maintenance of operating systems and infrastructure

Requirements:

• Growing experience in a commercial glasshouse environment
• Ability to make day-to-day decisions and work independently
• Enthusiastic approach to work duties
• Flexibility with regards to working hours

Package:

• Salary: £37-41k DOE
• 25 days holiday plus bank holidays
• Company mobile phone
• 5% pension contribution
• Post-probation benefits, including private medical insurance, life assurance, eye test, and glasses contributions
