Job Description

The role of Healthcare Professional involves working closely with patients, surgeons, and other medical professionals to provide exceptional care and support. Key responsibilities include:

  • Undertaking pre-operative testing and assisting during consent appointments and treatments
  • Co-ordinating patient flow on the day of the consent appointment and surgery appointments to ensure minimum waiting times for patients
  • Assisting the surgeon during consent appointments and treatments, acting as scrub assistant, taking notes, and instilling eye drops
  • Undertaking the role of HCA in IOL theatre to assist the surgical team and patients during surgery and associated tasks
  • Actively participating in the end of treatment day activities, updating patient files, filing, and compiling reports for head office
  • Reporting untoward incidents and taking an active role in patient safety issues and quality and risk management

The salary for this role is approximately £24,000 per annum.
