About The Role

Support Worker, The Manse, Lower Freystop. £11.60 to £11.80 dependent upon experience - Full Time: 38 hours per week

Orbis Education & Care provides specialist care and education services for children and adults with complex needs that are associated with autism. Key Responsibilities
  • Ensure the physical and emotional needs of our individuals are met through a supportive and caring environment.
  • Support our people during recreational activities, outings, and community integration.
  • Promote independence, self-esteem, and confidence in our people, celebrating their achievements and milestones.
  • Work together to ensure support is tailored to meet individual needs.
  • Keep accurate records of all activities, progress, and incidents.
  • General housekeeping duties, including meal preparation.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships.
  • Resilience and patience when faced with challenges, adapting to individual needs.
  • A willingness to learn and follow guidance from the team.
  • Basic IT skills for record keeping and communication purposes.
  • Flexibility to work on a shift basis, including weekends and occasional night shifts.

Please note: This role involves regulated activity with adults and requires an enhanced DBS with barred list check.
