About the Role
We are seeking a highly skilled Cardiac Physiologist to join our Clinical Investigations team at University Hospitals of Morecambe Bay NHS Foundation Trust. As a Band 7 specialist, you will be responsible for conducting pacemaker, ICD, and CRT implantations and follow-ups, both in-person and through remote monitoring.
Job Summary
The successful candidate will possess BHRS/IBHRE accreditation and have proof of continued professional development, excellent communication and customer care skills, and demonstrate a willingness to work both independently and as part of the wider team.
Key Responsibilities
- To work effectively and efficiently as part of the Clinical Investigations team in providing a high-quality service, ensuring the highest standard of patient care.
- To independently conduct pacemaker, ICD, and CRT implantations and follow-ups, both in-person and through remote monitoring.
- Additionally, provide assistance in other areas of the Clinical Investigations Unit (CIU) as needed, such as the analysis of ambulatory ECG.
Working for Our Organisation
Our organisation operates from three main hospitals - FGH, RLI, and WGH, as well as a number of community healthcare premises, including Millom, GP practices, and QVC and Ulverston Health Centre.
FGH and RLI have a range of general hospital services with Emergency care and critical coronary units and various Consultant-led services.
WGH provides a range of general hospital services, together with an Urgent Treatment Centre, that can help with a range of non-life-threatening conditions such as broken bones and minor illnesses.
All three hospitals provide a range of planned care, including outpatients, diagnostic, therapies, day-case, and inpatient surgery.
Person Specification
- BSc in Clinical Physiology or equivalent.
- Evidence of maintaining relevant Continuing Professional Development.
- ILS.
- ASCST.
