Job Description

Astute Recruitment is seeking a detail-oriented and organized Financial Operations Coordinator to join our client's finance team in Alfreton. This role will play a crucial part in maintaining the financial health of the company by supporting various accounting tasks and ensuring accurate financial records.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Prepare weekly payment runs for overseas companies for approval and verification.
  • Complete daily bank account reconciliations for both UK and overseas companies, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
  • Review and verify bank transaction postings for the UK and overseas companies, identifying and resolving any discrepancies.
  • Process payments and resolve issues for overseas suppliers, maintaining strong relationships and ensuring timely resolution.
  • Maintain and reconcile vendor ledgers for overseas operations, ensuring accurate financial records.
  • Handle intercompany postings and reconcile balances, ensuring seamless financial operations.
  • Collate documentation for factory payments to provide to the bank, ensuring compliance and accuracy.
  • Communicate with customers and suppliers via email and phone, providing excellent customer service.
  • Process and prepare month-end reports, providing insights and analysis to the finance team.
  • Support credit card and personal expense claims, ensuring accurate and timely processing.
  • Provide administrative support to the Finance Team and the wider business as required, ensuring seamless operations.
Candidate Experience:
  • Proven experience in a similar role, including entering basic financial information and maintaining accurate records.
  • Proficiency in MS Office, particularly Excel, with strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Effective communication skills at all levels, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to work accurately under pressure and meet deadlines.
Benefits and Hours:
  • Salary up to £27,675 depending on experience.
  • Flexible hybrid working arrangement, allowing for a balance of remote and in-office work.
  • Early finish on Fridays, providing a better work-life balance.
  • Working hours 8:30am - 5:30pm, Monday to Thursday, ensuring a stable and predictable schedule.
