Job Overview

The Bank of England is seeking a seasoned Cybersecurity Consultant to lead the Culture and Policy team and champion security efforts within the organization.

The successful candidate will be responsible for shaping and delivering a strategy to reduce cyber security risk in the Bank's supply chain, leading associated projects, and conducting IT security risk assessments on supplier engagements.

This is a people management role, requiring strong stakeholder management and collaboration skills, as well as the ability to act as a point of escalation for the team.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement a strategy to mitigate cyber security risks in the supply chain
  • Lead and implement projects to enhance security measures
  • Conduct risk assessments on supplier engagements
  • Advise internal colleagues on cyber security risks associated with suppliers
  • Build strong relationships with collaborators across the Bank and with external partners

Requirements
  • Extensive experience in technical/cyber security roles, ideally in the financial/insurance sector
  • Relevant technical qualifications, such as CISSP, CRISC, CISM, or CCP
  • Sufficient experience and expertise in cyber security and risk to act as a point of escalation
  • Solid understanding of IT network architecture, software/application security, infrastructure security, and Cloud
