About the Role:

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Electrical Design Engineer to join our team in Portsmouth. As a key member of our marine electrical design team, you will be responsible for the design and implementation of large-scale marine electrical installations, focusing on innovative products.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Design and implement marine electrical installations, collaborating with vessel manufacturers to provide installation guidance and develop vessel-specific system variants.
  2. Work with ATEX-rated installations to ensure compliance and safety in hazardous environments.
  3. Utilize professional electrical drawings software (EPlan) to create detailed designs.
  4. Integrate electrical systems into advanced marine technology solutions, working closely with a multidisciplinary team.
  5. Provide guidance throughout the project lifecycle, ensuring technical excellence from concept to implementation.

Requirements:

  1. Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related discipline (Master's Degree preferred).
  2. Proven experience in marine or industrial control electrical installations, with strong competence in electrical installations and panel design.
  3. Understanding of the complexities and challenges in the marine sector.
  4. Experience with ATEX/IEC Ex rated installations is desirable.
  5. Proficiency with EPlan or similar electrical drawing packages (training can be provided).
