About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Music Teacher to join our team at a reputable Secondary School in Kirklees. As a Music Teacher, you will be responsible for delivering the Music curriculum to secondary school students, inspiring and motivating them through engaging teaching methods, and fostering a positive learning environment that encourages student participation and creativity.

Key Responsibilities
  • Deliver Music lessons to secondary school students, utilizing a range of teaching methods to engage and motivate learners.
  • Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment that encourages student participation and creativity.
  • Contribute to the extracurricular activities and musical events of the school, working collaboratively with colleagues to enhance the Music department's offerings.
  • Develop and implement lesson plans that meet the needs of all students, including those with special educational needs.
  • Assess student progress and provide constructive feedback to students and parents.
Requirements
  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent teaching qualification.
  • Proven experience teaching Music at the secondary school level.
  • A track record of achieving positive outcomes for students.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to build rapport with students, parents, and staff.
  • Commitment to continuous professional development and staying updated with educational trends.
