Homeless Housing Liaison Specialist

We are partnering with a Local Authority in Enfield to assist with the appointment of a Homeless Housing Coordinator, on a 2-month contract, with the possibility of extension. Please submit your CV for immediate consideration.

Rate of Pay: £21.05 - £26.41 per hour

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver excellent customer service to homeless applicants and key partners.
  • Provide specialist homelessness casework to households, ensuring all aspects of casework are carried out in accordance with legislation, strategies, policies, and initiatives.
  • Utilize homelessness prevention tools and collaborate with internal and external partners to enhance outcomes for threatened with homeless/homeless applicants.
  • Contribute to embedding safeguarding best practices across the Housing Advisory Service.
  • Assist in reducing the number of households living in temporary accommodation by helping them challenge landlords & court possession orders.
  • Contribute to the development of the Homeless Families & Singles Team and the Housing Advisory Service.

Required Experience:

  • Significant experience of providing specialist homelessness casework to homeless applicants with complex needs.
  • Experience of working collaboratively to improve outcomes for homeless with complex needs.
  • Ability and experience to consistently deliver high levels of customer service to homeless applicants with complex needs.

Important Notes:

  • You must be available to work immediately or at short notice.
  • You must have the right to work in the U.K.
  • This role requires an enhanced DBS.
