Editorial Team Member Opportunity

MPOWIR Mentoring Physical Oceanography Women to Increase Retention is seeking an Editorial Team Member to join our team. As an Editorial Team Member, you will be responsible for promoting the journal's coverage of various fields within climate research.

The ideal candidate will have a Ph.D. or equivalent degree in an area of modern climate science, such as atmospheric science, hydroclimate, climate dynamics, cryospheric science, or oceanography. Postdoctoral experience and broad training will be an advantage.

Key responsibilities include selecting manuscripts for publication, commissioning, editing, and writing for the journal. Close contact with related research communities through conferences and laboratory visits will be an essential component of the work.

The role is demanding and intellectually stimulating, requiring a keen interest in the practice and communication of science. The successful candidate will be highly motivated and outgoing, with excellent interpersonal skills.

The position will be based in our London or Berlin offices, but other Nature Research locations can be considered for strong candidates.
