Commercial Grower

We are recruiting a skilled and motivated Head Horticulturist to join our team at Organic Growers Alliance in East Sussex. As a key member of our market garden project, you will be responsible for developing and implementing crop plans, managing the site, and leading a team of growers.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in organic horticulture, market garden crop planning, and team management. You will be able to communicate effectively with colleagues, engage with the public, and contribute to business growth.

Job Overview:

• Lead the development and implementation of crop plans for the market garden
• Manage and maintain the site, including tunnels, packing stations, and fencing
• Train and manage team members
• Engage with the general public

Requirements:

• Strong background in organic horticulture and market garden crop planning
• Ability to lead and manage a team of growers
• Positive engagement with the public

Salary: £25,000 + p/a depending on experience + 28 days paid holiday & pension scheme.
