About the Role:
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Reliability Engineer to join our team at Thermo Fisher Scientific. As a key member of our site engineering team, you will play a critical role in driving improvements in performance, delivering outstanding customer service, and ensuring compliance with safety and quality standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Coordinate the continuous improvement program, identifying and implementing safety processes and systems to meet site, corporate, and regulatory requirements.
- Develop and implement engineering-based risk assessments, ensuring routine review and compliance.
- Manage and coordinate site/department shutdowns, engaging with site planning teams and partners to minimize downtime and business impact.
- Ownership of actions as part of daily tier process, ensuring performance meets expected levels.
- Develop and sustain a planned maintenance program, identifying waste in maintenance systems and processes, and implementing corrective actions to eliminate.
- Lead the implementation of a Practical Performance Improvement culture, promoting problem-solving and Kaizen activities to deliver resolution to worthy business problems.
- Collaborate with peer groups to ensure process improvements are introduced safely and compliantly, demonstrating value to customers.
- Deputize for Site Engineering Manager as required.
Requirements:
- Experience working in an engineering role within a regulated manufacturing setting, such as pharmaceutical, medical devices, FMCG, or food production.
- A continuous improvement mentality, with experience of practical application of LEAN manufacturing tools and techniques within a production environment.
- Understanding of health and safety legislation and its practical application in the workplace.
- IOSH qualification.
- Degree or qualifications in Engineering.
