Quantity Surveyor Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Quantity Surveyor to manage the commercial aspects of our projects at JLM Mechanical & Electrical Ltd. The successful candidate will be responsible for administering commercial contracts, ensuring compliance with terms and conditions, and providing commercial assistance at project meetings.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Administer commercial contracts and ensure compliance with terms and conditions
  • Attend site visits to ensure commercial compliance
  • Issue accurate applications and invoices in line with contract terms
  • Manage contract changes, ensuring successful commercial outcomes
  • Oversee subcontractor procurement, orders, and certifications
  • Provide commercial assistance at project meetings, particularly under NEC contracts
  • Assist with final accounts and resolution of contractual issues
  • Commercially manage subcontractors from procurement to final account
Requirements:
  • Degree in Quantity Surveying or related field
  • Minimum 3 years of post-graduate experience, ideally on-site
  • Experience with mechanical & electrical projects is a plus
  • Strong financial and commercial acumen
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office
