About the Role
The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering high-quality clinical care to adult patients attending the community Minor Surgery service. This will involve diagnosing and treating a variety of benign skin lesions, while collaborating with the Dermatology team to ensure comprehensive patient care.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct minor surgical procedures, including excisions, biopsies, cyst removals, and suturing.
- Perform pre-operative assessments and post-operative follow-up care.
- Ensure patient safety and adherence to infection control protocols.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to provide comprehensive patient care.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date medical records.

Requirements
- Medical degree (MBBS or equivalent) and full registration with the General Medical Council (GMC).
- Experienced GPs with a specialist interest in minor surgery, Accredited GPwERs or GPwSI in Dermatology who also perform Minor Surgery.
- Evidence of specialty training in a relevant field, such as Dermatology, General Surgery, or Plastic Surgery.
- Proven experience in performing minor surgical procedures independently.
- Proficiency in local anaesthesia techniques and wound closure.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Performers List proof (any performers list in the UK is acceptable).
