AccorHotel is a leading hospitality company that prides itself on providing exceptional guest experiences. We are currently seeking a skilled Facilities Maintenance Specialist to join our team.

Job Summary:

The Facilities Maintenance Specialist will be responsible for performing routine maintenance and repairs, as well as tackling a range of practical tasks. This may include formwork carpentry, minor electrical and plumbing work, and other duties as assigned by the Line Manager/Supervisor.

Main Duties:

  • General Repair and Maintenance: Perform routine maintenance and repair work both on and off-site.
  • Efficient Response: Ensure all maintenance activities and failures are responded to efficiently and effectively.
  • Emergency Tasks: Carry out any reasonable emergency tasks requested by the Line Manager/Supervisor.
  • Maintenance Work: Undertake any other type of maintenance work in connection with the functioning of the hotel premises, as required by the Line Manager/Supervisor.
  • Hazardous Waste Disposal: Ensure safe disposal of hazardous waste products.
  • Liaison with Contractors: Liaise with external contractors regarding small reactive projects, in the absence of the Line Manager/Supervisor.
  • Carpentry Stock Management: Actively manage the carpentry stock, as well as accurately record keeping for ordering purposes.
  • ProActive Periodic Maintenance (PPM): Be involved in PPM across the property.

Essential Skills and Abilities:

  • Carpentry and Joinery Knowledge: Possess knowledge and experience in carpentry and joinery.
  • Health and Safety Regulations: Have knowledge of current Health and Safety regulations.
  • Computer Literacy: Be computer literate, including the use of Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
  • Team Player: Demonstrate a willingness to work as part of a team and take initiative when needed.
  • Good Interpersonal Skills: Possess good interpersonal skills.
  • Flexible Approach: Display a flexible approach to working and commit to delivering high levels of customer service.
  • Positive Attitude: Demonstrate a positive and helpful attitude to work and colleagues.
  • Willingness to Learn: Show a willingness to learn and adapt to new situations.

Estimated Salary: $14.64 per hour.
