Science Education Specialist

This role involves delivering tailored, one-on-one, and small group tutoring sessions to students within your specialist age and learning level. As a Science Tutor, you will:
• Support students from various schools and local authorities, both in-person and online;
• Develop engaging lesson plans that meet each student's specific needs and learning styles;
• Provide additional support to students with SEN or EHCPs, ensuring inclusive and effective teaching strategies;
• Monitor and assess student progress, provide constructive feedback, and adjust teaching methods as necessary;
• Collaborate with teachers, SEN coordinators, and parents to ensure a cohesive approach to each student's education;
• Motivate and inspire students to achieve their full potential and develop a love for the Sciences.
The ideal candidate will have:
• Strong knowledge of the UK Science curriculum, whether specialist (Biology, Chemistry, Physics) or general;
• Some experience working with students who have SEN and/or EHCPs;
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills;
• Patience, empathy, and a genuine passion for helping students succeed;
• Ability to adapt teaching methods to suit individual learning styles and needs.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This is a temporary position, but the option to make it permanent may become available at a later date.
