About the Role:
New Forrest Ward at Torbay and South Devon NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a highly skilled Registered Nurse to join our team, specialising in Diabetes and Endocrinology. The ideal candidate will have experience in managing DKA patients and be proactive in providing high standards of care.
Key Responsibilities:
- Ensure accurate administration of prescribed drugs in line with legal and Trust requirements
- Participate in teaching and facilitating a learning environment for all staff on the ward
- Coordinate shifts as necessary and act up as a senior nurse
- Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care plans
- Report and document accidents and unit incidents via Datix reporting
Requirements:
- UK NMC registration as a Registered Nurse
- One year post-qualification experience
- Ability to administer IV medications and perform venepuncture and cannulation
- Experience in managing DKA patients
