Role Overview

We are seeking a Graduate Environmental Advisor to join our team. As a key member of our Safety, Health, and Environment (SHE) team, you will work closely with the Head of SHE to improve our environmental performance. Your role will involve supporting Environmental Advisors, working with various teams and partners, auditing and measuring environmental efforts, and coordinating activities within the SHE team.

Key Responsibilities

  • Implement and operate SHE management standards and processes.
  • Assist the SHE team and multiple stakeholders and locations.
  • Support project and company reporting on Environmental/Sustainability performance.
  • Assist with BREEAM/CEEQUAL requirements on projects.
  • Support the development of continuous improvement practices, including SHE alerts, communication, and knowledge sharing.
  • Assist with the monitoring of the completion of corrective and preventative actions and the close-out of NCRs.
  • Support Environmental Advisors regarding regulator queries and requests.
  • Support Environmental Advisors with permitting and consent requirements.
  • Develop Site Waste Management Plans and Construction Environmental Management Plans for Projects.
  • Assist with Environmental Auditing and environmental mitigation/protection on Farrans sites, including management of issues such as noise, water management, ecology, carbon, and waste management.
  • Assist with the preparation of post-audit reports and identify actions to project and company management teams.
  • Assist with Bid Submissions and written responses to ITTs and PPQs.
  • Promote and act on Farrans' ethos 'Nothing is so important that we cannot take the time to do it safely,' demonstrating a consistent approach to SHE expectations.

Requirements

  • Knowledge and understanding of Environmental Management.
  • Passionate about environmental protection and conservation.
  • Good verbal and written communication skills.
  • Capable of working on own initiative and as part of a team.
  • Excellent attention to detail and meticulous planning and organisational skills.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office packages.

What We Offer

We offer a competitive base salary, a car allowance, payment of an annual professional membership, contributory pensions plan, health shield, and 34 days annual leave (inclusive of bank holidays). We also provide living away from home allowance and cover all accommodation costs, provide a daily allowance, and cover travel costs.
