Highway Design Engineer

Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced Highway Design Engineer to join our team at Hays Specialist Recruitment Limited. As a Senior or Principal Highway Engineer, you will play a key role in our highways division, working on exciting projects and collaborating with a multidisciplinary team.
Key Responsibilities
- Design local projects valued up to £100 million, including infrastructure, active travel schemes, urban developments, and highway improvements.
- Work collaboratively with a vibrant team to deliver projects from conception to completion.
- Lead and mentor junior staff, expanding on your expertise and influencing others to progress further.
- Manage 2-3 schemes at a time, utilizing hands-on tools and software such as AutoCAD and Civil3D.
Requirements
- Minimum of 7 years of UK highway design consultancy experience.
- Strong design experience across a range of highways projects, including active travel, urban development, S278/38 schemes, junction design, and VRS.
- AutoCAD and Civil3D software experience.
