IT Teacher Job Details

We are seeking a dedicated and innovative Secondary School IT Instructor to join our team at GSL Education.

This role involves delivering high-quality IT education to secondary school students, devising engaging lesson plans, and monitoring student progress in adherence to the national curriculum.

The selected candidate will be responsible for collaborating with the IT department and working closely with the Head of Faculty to foster digital literacy, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Developing and delivering IT lessons aligned with the national curriculum, catering to individual student needs.
  • Employing diverse teaching methods, including lectures, group activities, and hands-on projects, to enhance student engagement.
  • Evaluating student progress through regular assessments, homework, and tests.
  • Providing constructive feedback to students and parents, identifying areas for improvement and success strategies.
  • Utilising technology and digital resources to enrich the learning experience.
  • Participating in extracurricular activities like coding clubs, IT fairs, and field trips.
  • Collaborating with colleagues to implement school-wide programs and initiatives.

Requirements include:

  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology or a related field.
  • Teaching certification or qualification (PGCE, QTS).
  • Previous experience teaching IT to school students.
  • Profound knowledge of the national curriculum and assessment methods.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Collaborative team player.
  • Updated DBS.
