The successful candidate will be responsible for the overall management of multi-disciplined systems projects, ensuring timely delivery, and representing the company's technical and commercial interests. This role requires a comprehensive understanding of the company's ISO 9001 Quality System and the ability to make valid assessments of project tasks.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage concurrent projects to meet customer requirements, addressing all aspects of project management, including design change and change control methodologies.
- Organize and manage project teams on customer sites, ensuring quality, health, and safety compliance.
- Document all project elements, from initial planning to completion, and ensure proper handover of final information.
- Develop and implement training programs to ensure effective handover of operating plants to customers.
- Ensure compliance with Malone Group's Quality System and related documentation.
- Manage project files, Design Review Records, and Quality System applications.
- Ensure financial and commercial aspects of projects are managed effectively, including sales invoicing, purchase invoicing, and customer/sub-contractor negotiations.
- Complete project costing documentation and interface with central account functions.
- Set initial contract budgets and achieve/enhance profitability.
- Provide project management leadership to engineering teams.
- Ensure a professional and tidy approach within the Project Management Department.
- Maintain effective communications with customers and subcontractors.
Candidate Profile
- A minimum of 5 years' experience in food, brewing, or personal care industries.
- Appreciation of ISO 9001 Quality documentation.
- Comprehensive understanding of technical and engineering elements of a project.
Requirements
- Qualified Engineer (HND or similar).
- Project management qualification.
- Engineering degree.
Travel Expectations
- Current driving license.
- Business travel as required.
