Job Description:

The Process Engineering Lead will play a critical role in our company's success by optimizing performance and driving value leadership. As a change agent, you will initiate and drive game-changing workstreams to optimize our conversion cost structure and support Mars to become a more efficient, agile, and lean company.

This exciting opportunity will give you growth and development opportunities towards leadership, a true end-to-end understanding of the business, and huge exposure across a wide range of stakeholders. You will work closely with our cross-functional teams to develop and execute strategies that drive business results.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead the conception and initiation of capital projects, ensuring alignment with idea owners and relevant stakeholders.
  • Deliver the capital writing project phase with relevant information, including project justification, problem statement, financial benefits, project metrics, capital forecast, and technical description.
  • Develop reports and analysis to support Area Owners in identification and execution of their performance improvement plans.
  • Challenge and influence the status-quo to drive the right priority projects to optimize production costs (COGS/MCC/Non-Quality costs/stock) and deliver the cost reduction agenda.
  • Work together with segment and central IEs to improve segment performance on a European basis and support long-term shape of Supply capabilities.
  • Be responsible for managing and controlling the local budget, supporting project write-up, budget control, and leading budget update meetings with relevant stakeholders.
  • Be a strategic site partner in areas like CAB, OPEX, financial target setting, sourcing strategy, and the site masterplan.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Economics, or equivalent.
  • Strong experience in Production or Supply Chain roles.
  • Knowledge of internal manufacturing and major business processes, FMCG would be a benefit.
  • Significant change management experience.
  • Understanding of improvement tools such as SIXSIGMA, Kaizen, 5S.
  • Ability to work cross-functionally with Senior Leaders and stakeholders.
  • Track record in leading step-change initiatives / Best practice roll out.
  • Eager to analyze and inspired by maximizing value.
  • Proficient English level.

Salary and Benefits:

We offer an industry competitive salary of £55,000 - £65,000, dependent on experience, plus an annual bonus and great benefits package.
