Key Responsibilities- Provide individualized support to pupils with SEMH needs, adapting your approach to meet their unique requirements.
- Collaborate with teachers and other support staff to develop and implement effective learning plans.
- Support pupils in developing their social skills, including communication, empathy, and conflict resolution.
- Intervene in challenging situations, using de-escalation techniques to promote a positive learning environment.
- Assist with phonics, literacy, and numeracy interventions, helping pupils to catch up with their peers.
- Ensure that all pupils feel safe, supported, and valued, promoting a sense of belonging and well-being.
- Relevant experience working with children with SEMH needs, preferably in a specialist educational setting.
- Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team, communicating effectively with teachers, support staff, and parents.
- Strong interpersonal skills, with a patient and empathetic approach to supporting pupils with complex needs.
- Right to work in the UK and overseas criminal clearance with UK residency of at least three months.
