About the Role

NHS Ayrshire and Arran is seeking a skilled and dedicated individual to fill the position of Domestic Supervisor at Biggart Hospital. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for providing a wide range of domestic services that support clinical services throughout Ayrshire and Arran.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide domestic services that meet NHS Scotland National Cleaning Services Specification and Healthcare Environment Inspectorate Standards.
  • Work collaboratively with the team to ensure a safe, caring, and respectful environment for patients and staff.
  • Operate industrial cleaning equipment and use cleaning materials safely and efficiently.
  • Attend corporate induction and complete mandatory training modules.
  • Participate in departmental job training and develop skills in areas such as safe systems of work, departmental risk assessments, and infection control guidelines.
Requirements
  • Good communication and practical skills.
  • Ability to work on your own initiative and as part of a team.
  • Experience with industrial cleaning equipment or working in a healthcare setting is advantageous but not essential.
