Job Title: Justice Professional
Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Justice Professional to join our team at Fife Council. As a Justice Professional, you will work intensively with young people between the ages of 16-18 who have been care experienced and have come into conflict with the law.
Key Responsibilities:
- Adopt a 'young person first' approach by treating each young person in line with their age and stage development.
- Provide individualised, rights-based, and person-centred support to help prevent young people from getting into further conflict with the law.
- Frequent face-to-face contact with young people focusing primarily on welfare issues.
- Work alongside the young person to provide intensive support, which will involve supporting young people in all aspects of their life and advocating on their behalf to achieve positive outcomes.
- Liaise closely with other professionals.
- Undertake assessments and identify areas of need for intervention.
- Work on a 1:1 basis with young people.
- Co-facilitate groupwork and work with others to deliver structured activities.
- Respond in a timely manner to crisis and react to the needs of the young person.
Requirements:
- Experience of working within a social work setting.
- Ability to work flexibly and creatively to support hard-to-reach young people who are involved in varying levels of offending behaviour.
- Understanding of barriers experienced by this service user group and how to work with them alongside partner agencies to improve their outcomes.
- Ability to communicate and advocate on behalf of young people.
- Ability to work alongside supervising officers and other professionals providing support.

- The work patterns may be reviewed in line with the needs of the Service.
How to Apply:
Please note that due to the nature of the work, the role will require some evening and weekend working. The positions will be based across Fife, with each worker covering a geographical area, however may be required to work out with the area depending on the needs of the young people.
