About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior JavaScript Engineer to join our Platform Web team. As a Senior JavaScript Engineer, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining our core Ocado front-end React application, as well as various shared JavaScript libraries and backend services.

Key Responsibilities
  • Empower other e-commerce engineering teams by increasing autonomy, alignment, and speed.
  • Bring fresh ideas and approaches while contributing to the architectural direction of our front-end platform.
  • Use experimentation and proof-of-concept trials to make data-driven decisions regarding our engineering priorities.
  • Owning key platform components, including server-side rendered React front-end services and backend services.
  • Collaborate closely with the Platform Web, iOS, and Android channel teams to foster knowledge sharing and alignment.
Requirements
  • Strong front-end and back-end JavaScript experience.
  • Proficiency with React, Redux, and other JavaScript frameworks.
  • Expertise in client-side state management and single-page applications.
  • Familiarity with RESTful services and design best practices.
  • Solid understanding of CI/CD principles.
  • Experience with performance monitoring and supporting live production systems.
