Job Description:

We are seeking an experienced and qualified Class Teacher to join our team at SMART Education Recruitment. As a Class Teacher, you will be responsible for teaching and supporting a class of students in a primary school setting.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Implement school policies and guidelines
  • Support initiatives decided by the Headteacher and staff
  • Plan lessons to meet the needs of all pupils, through differentiation of tasks
  • Set clear targets, based on prior attainment, for pupils' learning
  • Provide a stimulating classroom environment, where resources can be accessed appropriately by all pupils
  • Keep accurate and efficient records, integrating formative and summative assessment into weekly and termly planning
  • Report to parents on the development, progress and attainment of pupils
  • Maintain good order and discipline amongst pupils, in accordance with the school's behaviour policy
  • Participate in and contribute to meetings that relate to teaching/curriculum
  • Communicate and cooperate with specialists from outside agencies
  • Plan for, organise and direct the work of support staff within the classroom

Requirements:

  • Relevant Qualifications (e.g. PGCE and QTS)
  • Proven experience as a Class Teacher in primary schools
  • Strong knowledge of the national curriculum
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with staff, colleagues, pupils and parents
  • A passion for working with children and supporting their educational journey
  • Enhanced DBS check on the update service or willingness to obtain one
  • Understanding of and experience with safeguarding practices as a teacher

Salary: £40,000 per annum

Hours: Monday and Friday 08:15 – 15:30

Duration: Ongoing
